The hotel had a nice pool area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of work. The coffee available all day was a great perk, especially for those needing an extra boost of energy. the hotel's location was convenient, being close to the main plaza and other key attractions. these amenities enhanced my stay.
The dormitory room I stayed in was quite unpleasant. It lacked proper ventilation, resulting in a damp and moldy environment.

the hammocks and chairs provided a great opportunity to socialize, and the salsa classes in the evenings were a fun activity. the hostel's rooftop also offered a nice view, although it could benefit from having more seating. the four-bedroom dorm I stayed in was comfortable, and the hostel's common space was fantastic. The staff and dogs were amazing, and I would gladly return to this hostel. Cons: Everything at the hostel was exactly what I needed and wanted. 💯.

As a solo traveler, I had an amazing time at Hostal Hilltop. The beds were comfy, the pool was beautiful, and the rooftop provided stunning views for sunsets and sunrises. The owner, Cesar, and the staff were sweet and knowledgeable, ensuring a fantastic stay. Plus, the hostel had 9 friendly dogs that made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

Free coffee and a nice common area where you can relax and play games. the location is great, close to the main plaza and with a nice vibe. - the beds are comfortable and we were offered an upgrade to a private room with a lovely view.
The noise from the poolside was really bad and there was no staff available to help. The breakfast was disappointing and there is no kitchen to cook your own meals.

The location of this hostel was amazing, with easy access to the main square and all the attractions in the area. The outdoor area, especially the garden with hammocks and chairs, was a great spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. I also loved the friendly and adorable animals in the hostel, they really added to the cozy atmosphere.
One major downside was the lack of information and maps about the hiking trails in the area. It would have been helpful to have some guidance on where to go and what to see.

Incredible shower with hot water and great water pressure. Perfect location in the heart of town, making it easy to explore. - the vibrant atmosphere with live music and a fun party scene.
The noise levels were quite high and the hostel felt more like a bar than a quiet retreat. There was a flea problem, which was uncomfortable and unpleasant.

the common area was beautiful with hammocks, plants, and a pool, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. the staff at the hostel were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. the hot showers were a welcome luxury, and the breakfast, which could be purchased for an additional fee, was absolutely delicious. I also appreciated the fact that they offered free coffee throughout the day. the rooms, while basic, were more than comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the great view from the rooftop. my time at Hilltop was fantastic and I can't wait to visit again. Cons: All good! 😊.
